System Components

To build a fully functional GRIDFLEX® 10 system, the following components are required:

South Rail

The South Rail runs perpendicular to the Module Clamps, adding rigidity to the system and providing support for the south row of modules. Each rail features printed installation guides that simplify placement of South Clamps, row attachments, and overlap measurements for faster, more accurate installs.

Mid Rail

The Mid Rail provides support for field modules while increasing system stability. Each rail includes printed installation guides to ensure precise placement of South Clamps, North Stanchions, Ballast Rails, attachments, and overlap measurements, streamlining the installation process.

North rail

The North Rail supports the north row of modules and strengthens overall system stability. Printed installation guides on each rail provide clear direction for North Stanchions, Ballast Rails, and attachments, ensuring fast and accurate installs.

Ballast Rail

The Ballast Rail supports ballast blocks beneath the modules, distributing weight evenly and contributing to effective system load sharing for enhanced stability.

South Rail Stiffener 

The South Rail Stiffener installs over the south-to-mid rail overlap, adding extra rigidity and reinforcing stability along the south row of modules.

South Clamp 

The South Clamp secures the south edge of the module to the base rails with a clevis pin connection, allowing the module to hinge open for easy access beneath the panel. Features a drop-down clamping method for quicker and simpler installations.

North Stanchion 

The North Stanchion secures the north edge of the module to the base rails, creating the 10° tilt. Its sliding clamp design locks modules in place while allowing access beneath the panel without removing components.

Wind Deflector 

The Wind Deflector attaches to the North Stanchion to reduce wind uplift forces and enhance system load sharing for greater overall stability.

The Wind Deflector Bracket secures perimeter edge wind deflectors to the module’s return flange, ensuring a stable and reliable connection.
