RMDT

8-Degree, East-West Facing Ballasted Dual Tilt Flat Roof System for Commercial Installations

Loading 3D Model…

Dual-tilt system made simple with RMDT.

OVERVIEW

The RMDT™ system is engineered to deliver more power per square foot on flat roofs. Featuring an 8-degree dual-tilt layout, RMDT increases module density by helping you get the most from every project. The system installs fast with fewer components, no wind deflectors or fire skirts, and just a single tool required. Designed with G235 galvanized steel for enhanced corrosion resistance, RMDT is built to perform under pressure and backed by Unirac’s unmatched project support and 25-year warranty.

System Components

To build a fully functional RMDT system, the following components are required:

ridge BALLAST BAY

Built from high-strength, low-alloy steel with a corrosion-resistant coating, the Ballast Bay is engineered for durability and long-term performance. Its modular design easily adapts to roof obstructions and surface variations, streamlining installation. For added efficiency, each bay nests together to minimize shipping volume and reduce freight costs.

CLAMP & HARDWARE

Made from stainless steel, the Module Clamp is designed to work with a range of module frame heights, as indicated on the clamp itself. It forms part of the UL 2703 listed system when installed per Unirac guidelines. Each clamp is secured using a ¼-20 stainless steel bolt and u-nut, ensuring reliable fastening and code-compliant bonding.

VALLEY BALLAST BAY

The Valley Ballast Bay holds up to two standard 4″x8″x16″ solid concrete cap blocks. Blocks must weigh between 26–38 lbs and comply with ASTM C1491 requirements for freeze-thaw durability. Proper block selection is critical to ensure system stability and performance.
