System Components

To build a fully functional SFM Infinity system, the following components are required.

TRIMRAIL
sfm NS Bonding Clamp

Securely bonds the TRIMRAIL to the module. Designed for single use, it fits modules from 30 mm to 40 mm and ensures reliable electrical continuity.

MICRORAIL
SFM 6.5″ Splice

Connects and bonds modules east-west without attaching to the roof. It ships pre-assembled, supports 30 mm to 40 mm module thicknesses.

MICRORAIL
SFM 8″ Attached Splice

Provides structural roof attachment and module-to-module bonding at splice points. Pre-assembled and height-adjustable, it supports 30 mm to 40 mm modules and streamlines installation by simplifying module placement and fastener access.

MICRORAIL
SFM MICRORAIL 2”

Provides roof attachment for one or two modules and arrives pre-assembled for fast installation. It supports module thicknesses from 30 mm to 40 mm, with built-in height adjustment, a design that simplifies module placement and prevents over torquing.

SFM Butyl Attachment

Supports both rafter and direct-to-deck installations, securing the 2″ MICRORAIL and 8″ ATTACHED SPLICE to the roof. A pre-applied butyl pad eliminates the need for sealants or metal flashing, while north–south adjustment simplifies alignment. An integrated stop helps prevent the MICRORAIL or ATTACHED SPLICE from sliding on steep roof pitches. Includes two rafter screws; additional decking screws and butyl pads or shims are sold separately.

TRIMRAIL

Provides structural support, module alignment, and a clean front-edge finish for the first row of a solar array. It securely captures module edges, accommodating a wide range of module thicknesses from 30 mm to 40 mm. 72” long. Trim end caps available, sold separately.

TRIMRAIL
TRIMRAIL Splice

Connects and bonds into two sections of the TRIMRAIL for continuous front row support. It installs without tools and ensures structural alignment and electrical continuity in a single-use design.

TRIMRAIL
Universal Clip Assembly

Secures the front row of modules by mounting to the TRIMRAIL with a T-bolt and tri-drive nut. They’re manually adjustable to fit a wide range of module thicknesses from 30 mm to 40 mm.

EBOSS
Wire Bonding Clip w/8AWG

Provides single-use bonding between module rows or from module to TRIMRAIL. It installs without tools, streamlining electrical bonding during array installation.

hex installation tool

Height adjustments are made using a ¼” hex drive tool. Insert the tool through the access holes in the end caps to reach the adjustment feature. Turn clockwise to raise the Microrail and counterclockwise to lower it.

sfm flashkit slider

Rafter-mounted attachment that secures the 2″ MICRORAIL and 8″ ATTACHED SPLICE to the roof. Provides generous North–South adjustment for easier installation, with an integrated stop to prevent the MICRORAIL or ATTACHED SPLICE from sliding on steep roof pitches.

sfm flashkit trim

Attaches the SFM TRIMRAIL to the roof with discreet height and North–South adjustment, allowing the TRIMRAIL to be installed level and straight. Offered in dark finish for a clean, refined look on the most visible front row.
