Plan Set Services
No. We do not submit plans to the AHJ. We provide high-quality, jurisdiction-ready plan sets and PE stamps that your installer or permitting team can submit with confidence.
To create AHJ-compliant, PE-stamped plan sets that are ready for submission, please provide:
- Site Address Full and accurate installation location
- Utility Provider Determines interconnection requirements
- Roof Layout & Dimensions Including obstructions such as vents, skylights, and chimneys
- Structural Details Racking and attachment types, truss or rafter spacing, size, and material
- Equipment Specs Module count, inverter type, racking system, etc
- Electrical Details As applicable
- Photos Clear images of the roof, attic (if accessible), and electrical panel
Providing complete information upfront helps minimize revision requests and shortens turnaround time.”
If your permit set is rejected by the AHJ, Unirac will make the required revisions based on the AHJ’s feedback. Your installer or permitting team typically communicates the AHJ comments to us so we can update the drawings accordingly.
Revisions based on AHJ comments are included at no additional cost.
Our standard plan set includes all documentation required for AHJ submission and approval, typically including:
- Cover Sheet
- Site Plan
- Roof Plan
- Attachment Details
- Single-Line Diagram (SLD)
- Three-Line Diagram (3LD), if required
- Placards and Warning Labels
- Equipment Specification Sheets
- Load Calculations, if required
- Panel Schedule, if required
- Roof Framing Details, if required
Each plan set is tailored to jurisdiction-specific requirements and prepared by our experienced design and engineering team.
Most equipment or layout changes require updated permit documentation, since they may affect electrical load, structural layout, or code compliance.
Our team will revise your plan set to reflect the change, and your installer or permitting team will submit the updated documents.

Domestic Content*
*Unirac cannot provide, and is not providing, tax advice regarding DCBC eligibility. Customers should consult their own tax advisors to determine eligibility. Unirac makes no representation or warranty that any customer or taxpayer will be able to claim the DCBC by purchasing Unirac domestic content components.
The domestic content bonus credit is available to solar power generation asset owners claiming an Investment Tax Credit (ITC or 48E) or, in some cases, a Production Tax Credit (PTC or 45Y). Only the asset owner can claim these credits, but installers and EPCs may still need to consider domestic content to meet project requirements or customer expectations.
For Residential Projects
The third-party operator (TPO) funding the system will have an Approved Vendor List (AVL) that identifies domestic content products. Unirac works directly with TPOs to ensure compliant solutions appear on their AVLs.
For Commercial Projects
The developer, owner, or EPC typically specifies the domestic content requirement. Unirac collaborates with these partners to identify the most suitable domestic content solution for each project.
Unirac offers domestic content solutions for pitched roofs through SOLARMOUNT® and NXT UMOUNT®, and domestically produced flat roof systems that may also qualify. For a full list of Unirac’s “-US” products, refer to the current pricelist or contact your Unirac sales representative or distributor.
Unirac offers detailed domestic content guides for SOLARMOUNT® and NXT UMOUNT®, along with a reference guide identifying compliant products. Supporting documentation, such as a Safe Harbor Letter, is available to qualifying asset owners under NDA. These documents contain confidential manufacturing information and outline how and where Unirac components meet domestic content requirements.
Because the Safe Harbor Letter is a legal document used for tax purposes, it is only issued to TPOs or asset owners who can claim a tax credit. Commercial system owners with questions about Unirac’s domestically produced products should contact their Unirac representative for assistance.
Visit our Domestic Content page for the most current domestic content guides and updates.
