Chief Executive Officer
Peter Lorenz is Chief Executive Officer of Unirac Inc. As CEO, Lorenz oversees all aspects of Unirac’s operations including sales, marketing, engineering, supply chain and finance.
Lorenz brings over ten years of experience in energy and solar power and twenty years of diversified experience in business building, sales and marketing, operational performance improvements and M&A.
Prior to assuming his current role, Lorenz was with Quanta Services, a leading specialty contractor in North America, where as president of Renewable Energy Services he developed the company’s solar strategy allowing Quanta to become the leading solar EPC company during his tenure. Prior to joining Quanta Services, Lorenz worked for the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company in Houston where his work focused energy firm growth, performance transformations and renewable energy. He was also instrumental in building McKinsey’s global solar competence. Lorenz began his career in finance for Royal Dutch Shell in London.
Lorenz has published and co-authored several articles on electric power and solar energy and been a featured speaker on several industry conferences.
Lorenz has a BA in European Business Administration from Middlesex University and FH Reutlingen and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Zwolak is the Chief Financial Officer of Unirac Inc. As CFO, Mark Zwolak is responsible for the Unirac’s financial coordination with its parent company, Hilti Group.
Currently, Mark assists and advises Unirac with strategic financial objectives and risk management, strategic planning as well as coordinating and optimizing work streams.
Mark has over 15 years of financial management experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Most recently, Mark was a Director of Finance at Hilti North American headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior roles were with CIBA Vision, a Novartis company and AT&T, f/k/a Bellsouth. Mark has extensive international experience and has had two previous expatriate assignments living and working in SE Asia as well as Latin America.
Mark has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. from Kennesaw State University. Mark also holds a Certified Finance Manager designation from the Institute of Management Accountants and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Kevin joined Unirac’s executive leadership team at the beginning of 2015 as vice president of sales and marketing, and oversees all sales and marketing activities for the residential, commercial and utility market segments.
Kevin is a customer-focused executive with a strong technology background in renewable energy and more than 15 years of diversified experience in both domestic and international markets. Prior to Unirac, Kevin was recruited as President of SolarWorld AG’s subsidiary, SolarWorld Americas LLC. Among other achievements during his time at SolarWorld Americas, Kevin effectively implemented strategies for the utility, commercial and residential market segments.
Kevin gained sales, operational and general management experience running multiple profit centers within General Electric (GE) and Rexel SA’s electrical distribution businesses. Before joining the corporate world, Kevin served as a Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot and Aviation Company Commander in the U.S. Army, receiving the Ellis D. Parker Award for the Army’s Best Combat Support Aviation Unit for successfully commanding and conducting humanitarian relief operations in the Former Republic of Yugoslavia (Kosovo).
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also obtained a MBA from Duke University and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Vice President of Operations
Darren Womacks serves as Vice President of Operations for Unirac.
He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, supply chain, product management and product development.
Darren has held multiple positions at Unirac since 2008. Prior to becoming the vice president of residential and commercial group, Darren led the manufacturing and operations as the Senior Director of Operations and as the Director of Manufacturing. Prior to joining Unirac, he was in manufacturing management for General Mills. Darren also served as a Navy Nuclear Submarine engineer for 7 years.
Darren is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of New Mexico.
